Preheat oven to 325°F degrees.
Prep your 8x8 square pan either by spraying with cooking spray and dusting super lightly with cocoa powder OR lining your pan with parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter and chocolate together over low heat, stirring frequently with a wooden spoon to making sure not to boil or burn.
Remove saucepan from heat and add sugar, stirring until combined.
Next add eggs and vanilla, again, stirring until combined.
Add chocolate chips, flour, and salt. Stir until well blended.
Pour batter into the pan, making sure to distribute evenly and tapping the pan a bit to get out any air bubble. Sprinkle with sea salt and sprinkles (both are optional). Place pan in the oven.
Bake for 35-45 minutes, insert a toothpick into the middle to test if brownies are done, if the toothpick comes out clean, they are ready!
Remove from oven and let cool.
After about 15 minutes of cooling time, they are ready to be cut and served!
